A 14- vs 10-Day Vonoprazan Regimen for H pylori Shows Modest Eradication Advantage

Summary: Got a stubborn stomach bug called H. pylori? A new study compared taking a vonoprazan-based medicine for 10 days versus 14 days. The results showed that the 14-day treatment was slightly better at wiping out the bacteria on the first try (curing about 90% to 93% of people). However, the 10-day plan still worked very well (curing about 87% to 91%). Doctors say 14 days is best if you want to make sure the bug is gone on the first try so you don't have to test again. But 10 days is a good choice if you want to take fewer pills and still get great results.
