A blended approach: How to integrate coaching, mentoring, and advising as a medical educator.

Summary: Medical teachers do a lot to help students overcome challenges. Sometimes they act as coaches, sometimes as mentors, and sometimes as advisors. It can be confusing to know which "hat" to wear! This paper suggests that instead of sticking to just one strict role, teachers should learn the skills for all three. By blending coaching, mentoring, and advising together, teachers can easily switch between them to give students exactly the support they need to succeed.
