A phase II, randomized, open-labeled study to evaluate low-dose pembrolizumab in addition to neoadjuvant chemotherapy for triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC).

Summary: Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) is an aggressive disease that is particularly common in India. While adding the immunotherapy drug pembrolizumab to standard chemotherapy helps patients live longer, the high cost makes it out of reach for many in low- and middle-income countries. The PLANeT trial is a new study designed to see if a lower, more affordable dose of pembrolizumab works just as well as the expensive full dose. If successful, this "less is more" approach could make life-saving treatment accessible to thousands of women who currently cannot afford it.
