A rare case of necrotizing fasciitis secondary to a perforated appendix.

Summary: A 23-year-old man went to the hospital with severe stomach pain and vomiting. Doctors found his appendix had burst and quickly did surgery to remove it and clean his belly. At first, he seemed to be getting better. But two days later, he got very sick. A scan showed he had a rare, fast-spreading flesh-eating infection in his belly wall. Doctors did a second surgery to clean out the infection, but it was too strong. Sadly, his organs failed, and he passed away. This story shows why finding and treating a burst appendix quickly with scans and surgery is so important to save lives.
