Afroman Victorious Over Sheriff's Department in Raid Music Video Lawsuit
Summary: Rapper Afroman, whose real name is Joseph Foreman, has officially won a big legal battle against Ohio sheriff's deputies. Back in 2022, police busted down his door and raided his home looking for evidence of kidnapping and drug trafficking. They found absolutely nothing and never charged him with a crime.
Instead of getting mad, Afroman got creative. He took his home security footage of the raid and turned it into a viral music video called "Lemon Pound Cake." He even sold merchandise with the deputies' images on it. Seven of the deputies sued him for defamation and invasion of privacy, claiming he made them look bad. However, a jury decided in Afroman's favor, agreeing that making the video was protected by his freedom of speech. Afroman cried tears of relief and celebrated his big win with his fans outside the courthouse.
