Researchers checked over 200 top web pages about these conditions. They found that most of the information is written at a high school reading level. This is much harder than the 6th to 8th-grade reading levels recommended by health experts. In fact, fewer than 4 out of 100 websites met the easiest reading goal! To help families make good choices for their kids, medical websites need to be written in simpler, clearer words.
