Assessment of Anticancer Effects of Aloe vera on 3D Liver Tumor Spheroids in a Microfluidic Platform.
Summary: Scientists are looking for new ways to fight cancer using natural plants. In this study, they tested Aloe vera on tiny, 3D liver tumors grown on a special microchip. This chip acts more like a real human body than flat lab dishes do. They found that Aloe vera killed the cancer cells by making them self-destruct! While a standard cancer drug (Doxorubicin) was stronger, Aloe vera still showed great promise as a natural cancer-fighting tool. The special microchip also proved to be an amazing way to test new medicines safely and accurately.
