Association between nasal septum deviation and transverse maxillary development: A retrospective cross-sectional study.
Summary: Have you ever wondered if a crooked nose affects how your mouth grows? A recent study looked at 141 adults using 3D head scans to see if a bent nasal septum (the wall between your nostrils) changes the shape of the upper jaw. The researchers found that the width of the bend in the nose is linked to how deep the roof of the mouth is. However, the angle of the bend didn't seem to matter. This means a severely crooked nose might actually change the shape of your palate!
