Bimodality in life satisfaction: The role of social support in individuals with long COVID.

Summary: Living with Long COVID is tough, but a new study reveals that its impact on happiness isn't the same for everyone. Researchers surveyed over 200 people and discovered they fell into two distinct groups. One smaller group managed to maintain higher life satisfaction, largely thanks to strong support from family and friends. However, the larger group reported much lower life satisfaction, and for them, social support didn't seem to make a significant difference. This suggests that while a shoulder to lean on is vital for some, those struggling the most with Long COVID may need more specialized medical or psychological interventions to improve their quality of life.
