Building Strong Foundations: Nonrandomized Interventional Study of a Novel, Digitally Delivered Fall Prevention Program for Older Adults.

Summary: Falls are a major health concern for seniors, but getting to a gym for prevention classes can be difficult, especially for those in rural areas. A new study tested "Strong Foundations," a 12-week exercise program delivered entirely online. Seniors logged in once a week for 60 minutes to work on posture, balance, and strength. The results were encouraging: participants stood straighter and moved better. Notably, the seniors who were at moderate risk of falling saw even greater improvements than those at low risk, suggesting that digital classes are a safe, effective way to bring fall prevention right into the living room.
