Cannabis-Induced Cardiac Arrest in a Young Adult: A Case Report.

Summary: A 26-year-old woman’s heart suddenly stopped beating after using marijuana. She had no history of heart problems. Doctors had to use emergency life support to restart her heart, and she suffered brain damage from a lack of oxygen. Tests showed her heart arteries were normal, but marijuana (THC) was in her system. This story warns us that even though many people think marijuana is safe, it can sometimes cause very serious and even deadly heart problems in young, healthy people.
