<![CDATA[67 Spirituality and Medical Trust Among Breast Cancer Outpatients in an Urban Safety-Net Setting]]>
Summary: A recent survey looked at 98 breast cancer patients at a city hospital to see if their faith affected how much they trusted their doctors. The results showed that patients with stronger spiritual beliefs had more trust in their medical team. This connection was especially strong for Black patients and those making less than $40,000 a year. Because trusting your doctor is so important for getting good cancer care, the study suggests that respecting a patient's faith could help build better relationships and improve treatment.
