<![CDATA[Epcoritamab Yields Superior PFS vs Chemoimmunotherapy in Pretreated LBCL]]>

Summary: A recent clinical trial found that a drug called epcoritamab works better than standard chemotherapy for patients with a type of blood cancer called large B-cell lymphoma (LBCL) that has come back. Patients taking epcoritamab had a 26% lower risk of their cancer getting worse or dying compared to those on regular chemo.

Additionally, 38% of patients on the new drug saw their cancer completely disappear, compared to just 26% on standard chemo. Amazingly, of those who had a complete response to epcoritamab, 59% were still cancer-free three years later! While the study didn't officially prove patients live longer overall, doctors believe this was heavily skewed because many patients caught COVID-19 during the trial's Omicron wave. Overall, epcoritamab is proving to be a powerful new option for patients who need it.
