<![CDATA[RAMPART Trial Does Not Meet DFS End Point in RCC]]>

Summary: A major study called RAMPART tested treatments for kidney cancer after surgery. Doctors wanted to know if a single drug called durvalumab could stop cancer from returning better than just watching the patient closely. By itself, the drug didn't do much better than careful watching. However, when doctors combined it with a second drug called tremelimumab, it really helped patients who had a high risk of the cancer coming back. The two-drug combo did cause more side effects, so doctors have to monitor it carefully.
