Cindy Howard, DC, to receive Dr. Beatrice B. Hagen Award

Summary: Dr. Cindy Howard is a chiropractor who won a big award for her great work. In 2013, she found a swollen lymph node on her neck. She figured out she had stage 2 Hodgkin’s lymphoma, a type of cancer. She helped plan her own treatment by mixing regular chemotherapy with vitamins and chiropractic care. Now she is cancer-free! Going through this made her a better doctor because she really understands her patients' struggles. She even wrote a book about finding happiness during tough times, like when she was getting chemo.
