Cities unite to put One Health into action

Summary: Mayors from 50 cities around the world recently met in Lyon, France, for the One Health Summit. They talked about how big problems like dirty air, climate change, and urban food systems directly impact human survival and disease. To tackle these health risks, they created a new global team of 15 cities that will work together for three years. They will share ideas, start new health projects, and use a special guidebook provided by the World Health Organization (WHO) to build healthier communities. After doing all this heavy lifting to protect global health, the mayors celebrated at a special reception hosted by the Mayor of Lyon.
