Climate Change and Habitat Fragmentation: Implications for the Future Distribution and Assisted Migration of

Summary: Imagine living high up on a chilly mountain. For alpine plants, this is home! But as the Earth gets warmer, these plants are losing their cool habitats. Scientists wanted to see where these plants could live in the future. They looked at 273 spots where the plants grow right now and used a computer program to guess where they might survive later. Because their homes are breaking apart, we might even need to help move them to new, safer places so they don't die out.
