CLM App: Interlamellar Distance of Pearlite via CLM Revisited and Automated.
Summary: Pearlitic steel is a super strong metal used to build cars and airplanes. To make sure it is strong enough, scientists look at its tiny striped patterns under a microscope. Measuring the space between these stripes used to take a lot of time by hand. Now, researchers have made a computer program using Python to do this math automatically! They tested it on 465 pictures of steel. The new app saves time, though it works better on some patterns than others.
