Correlation of T2-Weighted Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Computed Tomography (CT), and Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) Radiomic Features for Prostate Cancer.
Summary: When doctors treat prostate cancer with radiation, they take pictures of the prostate to plan the treatment carefully. Usually, they use highly detailed MRI or CT scans before the treatment even starts. But they also take quick, daily scans called CBCT right before each radiation dose to make sure everything is lined up. This study looked at 47 patients to see if the tiny details (called "radiomics") in the daily CBCT scans match the details in the pre-treatment MRI and CT scans. Finding a match is exciting because it means doctors might be able to use these daily scans to track exactly how well the treatment is working in real time!
