Summary: Human adenoviruses are common germs that can make people sick. Usually, they just cause a mild cold. But sometimes, they can make children very sick and send them to the hospital. This is especially true for kids who already have weak immune systems. Some specific types of this germ cause bad lung infections that are hard to fight off. This study looked at information from all over the world to see which types of the virus are putting the most kids in the hospital.
