Dark Matter Experiment Reaches Critical Milestone Deep Underground
Summary: Scientists in Canada are running an exciting experiment deep underground to find dark matter. Dark matter makes up 85% of the mass in the universe, but we still can't see it! To catch it, researchers built a giant machine wrapped in pure lead and cooled it down to almost absolute zero. That is hundreds of times colder than outer space! Now that the machine is freezing cold, they will turn on their special detectors to see if they can finally spot these mysterious, invisible particles passing through Earth.
