Design and rationale of aspirin versus aspirin and fondaparinux prior to early invasive strategy in patients with NSTEMI: The FOXY trial.

Summary: When people have a mild type of heart attack, doctors usually give them two blood-thinning medicines before checking their heart with a special camera. But giving two medicines might cause too much bleeding. A new study called the FOXY trial is testing if giving just one medicine (aspirin) works just as well and is safer than giving both. If it works, it could make treating heart attacks safer, cheaper, and easier for patients!
