Design, molecular docking and suppression on NF-κB activity of sinomenine hybrid derivatives.
Summary: Scientists are looking for better ways to stop a protein called NF-κB, which causes inflammation in the body. They started with a natural plant medicine called sinomenine and combined it with other chemical parts to create new, stronger versions. First, they used computer programs to see which new molecule shapes might work best to block the protein. Then, they made these new mixtures in the lab and tested them on human cells. They found that a few of the new combinations worked much better than the original plant medicine. The best one, named Derivative 3, was the strongest at blocking the inflammation protein!
