Developing behavioural markers of high-speed workboat crews' competencies.

Summary: Driving a high-speed workboat is tough and requires great teamwork. To help crews do their best and stay safe, researchers looked at how expert crews act in the cockpit. They borrowed ideas from airplane pilots to create a list of "behavior markers"—specific actions that show a crew is doing a great job. They tested this list by watching real boat crews at work and found eight key areas of skill. This checklist will help train better, safer boat crews in the future.
