Discovery of novel HBV core protein inhibitors by high throughput virtual screening.

Summary: Hepatitis B is a tough virus that causes long-lasting liver sickness, and doctors don't have many ways to treat it. The virus uses a special "core protein" like a shield to stay strong inside the body. In this study, scientists used powerful computers to search through thousands of chemicals to find one that can break this shield. They found a superstar chemical called ZINC00674395. Computer tests showed this chemical is safe, sticks tightly to the virus shield, and could be turned into a great new medicine to fight Hepatitis B!
