Early, very high-titre convalescent plasma therapy in clinically vulnerable individuals with mild COVID-19: an international, randomised, open-label trial.

Summary: People with weak immune systems are at high risk when they get COVID-19. This study tested a treatment called "convalescent plasma," which uses blood from people who already fought off the virus and have strong antibodies. Doctors gave this plasma to 120 patients early in their illness. The results were amazing! None of the patients who got the plasma had to go to the hospital or died. But in the group that didn't get it, about 9 out of 100 people got very sick. This shows that giving strong plasma early is a safe and great way to protect vulnerable people from COVID-19.
