Summary: Kids with autism often have a hard time talking, sharing, and playing with others. Doctors looked at 17 different studies to see if special classes called "social skills training" can help. They found that these classes do help kids learn to talk, share, and pay attention better. The improvement is small to medium, so the classes won't fix everything on their own. However, they are a great tool to use along with other care to help kids with autism make friends and connect with the world.
