Efficacy and Budget Impact of a Tailored Psychological Intervention Program Targeting Cancer Patients With Adjustment Disorder: A Randomised Controlled Trial.
Summary: Having cancer is really hard, and sometimes it causes a lot of stress and worry, known as an adjustment disorder. Doctors created a special therapy program to help cancer patients feel better. They tested this program on 59 patients, putting some in the therapy group and others in a normal care group. Both groups felt a little better over time, but the special therapy didn't work any better than the normal care. The study was small because it was hard to find patients during the COVID-19 pandemic, so doctors think they need to do more research to see if the program is truly helpful and worth the cost.
