Engaging in Palliative Care Conversations With Healthcare Providers: A Phenomenological Young Adult Cancer Study.

Summary: Young adults with advanced cancer often miss out on palliative care. Doctors sometimes worry that talking about comfort care will take away their patients' hope. But when young people actually have these talks, it helps them a lot! It gives them a safe space to talk about their deep feelings, get relief from their pain, and even share their thoughts on death. This study shows that simply talking openly about comfort care brings great relief and helps young people focus on what matters most to them.
