Enteral Administration of a Methylene Blue and 20% Lipid Emulsion Slurry to Aid in Diagnosis of Intraoperative Thoracic Duct Injury.

Summary: Finding tiny fluid tubes in a baby's chest during surgery is very hard. If one of these tubes gets cut by accident, it can leak and cause serious problems. To help find leaks, doctors tried a neat trick: they gave a baby a special mix of blue dye and fat through a feeding tube while operating. The blue fat traveled to the chest and helped doctors see the tiny tubes clearly. However, they still couldn't find the main, biggest tube. It is a helpful trick, but it doesn't solve everything!
