Evaluating an Artificial Intelligence software for opportunistic low bone mineral density and osteoporosis screening: a validation study.
Summary: Osteoporosis makes bones weak and easy to break. Usually, doctors use a special scan called DXA to check bone strength, but these machines are not always easy to find, especially in country towns. Scientists tested a new computer program called Rho. Rho looks at regular X-rays to spot weak bones. They checked it on nearly 5,000 older patients and found it works really well! This means regular X-rays could help doctors find and treat weak bones earlier, helping more people stay safe from bad fractures.
