Exploring factors that influence the knowledge and awareness of breastfeeding among Saudi mothers: a qualitative study.
Summary: Breastfeeding is wonderful for both mothers and babies, but not many mothers in Saudi Arabia choose to do it. To find out why, researchers talked to 17 Saudi mothers. They discovered that having family support, saving money, and knowing the health benefits made mothers more likely to breastfeed. On the other hand, going back to work, struggling with mental health, and believing false myths made it much harder. Even though mothers know breastfeeding is good, doctors and nurses need to give them more support and clear up these myths before and after the baby is born.
