Factors influencing return to work after rotator cuff surgery: A scoping review.

Summary: Getting back to work after shoulder surgery (rotator cuff repair) can be a tough journey. A new review looked at over 5,000 patients to see what helps or hurts this process. The good news is that about 8 out of 10 people successfully go back to work, usually taking about six months to heal.

However, some things can make it harder. If you have a heavy manual labor job, hurt your main arm, are a woman, or struggle with your mental health, it might take longer to get back. On the other hand, having a desk job makes returning much easier. Knowing these facts can help doctors and bosses make better plans to help workers heal and return safely.
