Forecasting tuberculosis epidemics using an autoregressive fractionally integrated moving average model: a 17-year time series analysis.
Summary: Tuberculosis, or TB, is a sickness that still affects many people. Doctors and scientists want to guess how many people will get sick in the future so they can help stop it. In this study, researchers looked at 17 years of TB cases in a part of China. They tested two math tools to see which one was better at guessing future cases. They found that a newer tool, called ARFIMA, was much better at predicting TB trends and seasons than the old tool. This helps health workers plan better and keep people safe!
