Genau battles cop-show tropes in this week's Frieren

Summary: In the latest episode of Frieren: Beyond Journey's End, the story feels a lot like a classic police show. We learn that the serious mage Genau is dealing with survivor's guilt after a demon killed his partner. To protect his feelings, he acts like a "lone wolf" and pushes his new teammates away. Soon, the heroes face a terrifying new enemy: a giant, four-armed snake demon named Divine Revolte. Revolte is clever and plans to use the heroes' kindness against them by attacking while they guard the bodies of fallen villagers. Stark and Genau stay behind to fight him. Just as the snake demon attacks with his super-strong magic swords, Genau reveals his own secret power by sprouting black wings. Fans will have to wait until the next episode to see how the big fight ends!
