Genomic and taxonomic characterization of Niallia pakistanensis sp. nov. NCCP-28
Summary: Scientists are always looking in the soil for new, helpful germs. These tiny living things help the earth recycle nutrients and might even give us new tools for science and cleaning up the environment. In this study, researchers found a brand-new type of bacteria living near plant roots. They named it Niallia pakistanensis (strain NCCP-28) and studied its DNA to see exactly where it fits in the family tree of microbes.
