Higher NK Cell Frequency Improves Event-Free Survival in DLBCL
Summary: Natural Killer (NK) cells are special immune cells that fight disease. A new study shows that patients with a type of blood cancer called DLBCL do much better if they have a lot of NK cells in their bone marrow. Having at least 14% NK cells means a much lower chance of the cancer coming back. It also gives patients more time living without the disease getting worse. Interestingly, regular blood tests don't predict this—only bone marrow tests do!
