Summary: To stop climate change, we need to build a lot of clean energy like wind and solar power. But figuring out exactly how much these projects will cost in the future is really hard. Often, the financial numbers used by experts are old, secret, or just guesses. Because clean energy costs a lot of money upfront, bad guesses can cause big mistakes in planning. This study fixes that problem by sharing new, highly accurate cost estimates for 10 types of energy across 176 countries from the years 2015 to 2030. They even made a free, interactive website so anyone can easily look up the numbers!
