Impact of Lactobacillus johnsonii CNCM I-4884 on canine giardiasis: a probiotic-based approach.
Summary: Dogs often get sick from a tiny bug called Giardia, which causes bad tummy troubles. Usually, doctors give them strong medicines to fix it. But a new study found a natural helper: a good bacteria (called a probiotic) named Lactobacillus johnsonii. When dogs took this good bacteria every day for two weeks, it greatly lowered the number of Giardia bugs leaving their bodies. This means the probiotic could be a great new way to treat dogs without using harsh drugs. It also helps heal their guts and makes their natural defenses stronger!
