Incidence and survival of rare female genital tract cancers in Europe: The EUROCARE-6 study.

Summary: Imagine trying to track down rare diseases across a whole continent. That's exactly what researchers did in Europe for rare cancers of the female reproductive system. They looked at medical records from nearly 800,000 women to see how common these cancers are and how well patients survive. They found that while some of these cancers are being diagnosed more frequently, survival rates are also getting much better for many of them! This good news is likely because doctors are getting better at spotting these rare cancers early and treating them in specialized centers. This massive study gives doctors a great starting point to keep improving care for women with rare cancers.
