Summary: New weight-loss and diabetes drugs are changing the game for heart health. Being very overweight or having diabetes can raise your chances of getting cancer. Some early studies show these new drugs might actually lower the risk of getting certain cancers. But, we do not know for sure yet because cancer patients were left out of the big drug tests. Doctors need to do more research to see if these drugs can help or hurt people who already have cancer.
