Influence of combined posterior and medial-lateral mid-air trunk perturbations on knee biomechanics during single-leg landing.
Summary: Imagine jumping in the air and getting bumped from the side or back before landing on one leg. That mid-air bump changes how your body bends and puts dangerous stress on your knee. Scientists tested 37 athletes to see exactly what happens when they are pulled while in the air. They found that being pulled to the side makes your body bend sideways, which hurts the knee from the side. Being pulled backward hurts the knee from the front. This shows that having a strong core to control your body in the air is super important to stop knee injuries like ACL tears!
