Iran hits Gulf neighbors and keeps stranglehold on oil shipping as concerns rise of energy crisis
Summary: The Middle East is facing a massive crisis as Iran attacks its neighbors, Israel, and US military bases. After being attacked by the US and Israel, Iran started firing missiles and drones at places like the Dubai airport and Saudi oil facilities. They have also blocked the Strait of Hormuz, a major waterway where a huge amount of the world's oil travels. Because of this, gas and oil prices are skyrocketing, with crude oil jumping over $100 a barrel.
President Donald Trump is demanding that other countries send warships to help protect the cargo ships, warning he will "remember" those who refuse to help. Meanwhile, Israel is continuing its strikes on Lebanon and Iran, and Iran says it will not stop fighting. The situation is so serious that Japan is using its emergency oil reserves to help deal with the global shortage.
