Iran’s Bombing of Qatar Just Made This War a Hell of a Lot More Complicated

Summary: The situation in the Middle East is getting much more complicated. Recently, Iran bombed natural gas facilities in Qatar. This massive attack destroyed 17% of Qatar's gas exports, which will cost the country about $20 billion a year. The head of Qatar's energy company was shocked that a fellow Muslim country would attack them during the holy month of Ramadan. This strike happened right after Israel attacked Iran's own gas plants.

Meanwhile, U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee went on a talk show and joked that it would be "fine" if Israel took over the entire Middle East, though he later admitted he was exaggerating. Years ago, Qatar was known for strange trivia—like using kids (and now robots) to race camels in the blazing heat—but today, it is caught right in the middle of a very serious and growing global conflict.
