Is personality associated with the lived experience of the NHS England low calorie diet programme: A pilot study.
Summary: Can your personality predict how well you handle a strict diet? NHS England tested a Low Calorie Diet program using a new Artificial Intelligence tool that analyzes the way people write to determine their personality traits. In this pilot study, the AI successfully identified three distinct personality types among the participants. However, when researchers looked closer, these personality types did not affect how motivated people felt, how much pain they experienced, or how much they liked the meal replacement shakes. While the AI could spot personality differences, those differences didn't change the actual diet experience or outcomes in this small group.
