Javier Bardem says free Palestine on Oscars stage
Summary: Javier Bardem made a strong statement at the 98th Academy Awards. Before handing out the award for Best International Feature Film, he stood on stage and said, "No to war and free Palestine." On the red carpet, he also wore two special pins on his tuxedo. One pin said "No to war" in Spanish, which is the exact same pin he wore back in 2003 to protest the Iraq war. The other pin said "Palestine" and showed Handala, a famous cartoon boy who stands for Palestinian resistance. It was the biggest political moment of the night.
