Lip and Jaw Tremor in Parkinson's Disease.
Summary: Parkinson's disease is well known for causing shaking in the hands and arms. But did you know it can also cause shaking in the lips and jaw? Doctors looked at 229 patients and found that about 17% (or 1 in 6) had lip or jaw tremors. People with these tremors were usually older and had worse shaking in their arms. Interestingly, if a patient only had shaking in their lip or jaw, they were more likely to have memory and thinking problems. This helps doctors understand how Parkinson's affects the whole body and what symptoms to watch out for.
