Milestone Black History Month to feature food, music and community | Emory University
Summary: In February 1926, a special week was created to celebrate Black history. Now, exactly 100 years later in 2026, Emory University is throwing a huge month-long celebration to honor this amazing milestone! The Emory Black Student Union has planned tons of fun events for the campus. Students can enjoy the Soul Food Gospel Fest, learn how to vogue in a high-energy dance class, celebrate Mardi Gras, and test their knowledge at a trivia bowl. There are also events for making buttons, eating brunch, and talking about social justice with leaders. It is a perfect time for students to connect, learn, and celebrate their shared history together.
