Molina Healthcare earnings slump as Medicaid, ACA membership fall

Summary: Molina Healthcare is making less money right now because fewer people are signing up for their Medicaid and ACA health plans. At the same time, hospitals are struggling. Baptist Health in Arkansas is cutting 150 jobs after losing $127 million since 2018. While big companies are trying to get money from a new government rural health fund, many healthy workers are taking matters into their own hands. Instead of paying for expensive coverage, healthy employees are simply canceling their company health insurance to save up to $1,000 every single month.
