Montana Man Shares Bouquet of Gratitude After Robotic-Assisted Surgery at Intermountain Health Holy Rosary Hospital Helps Restore His Health
Summary: Emmett LaBree is a 91-year-old man from Miles City, Montana. Recently, he needed surgery to fix two hernias. Instead of traveling far away to a big city hospital, he was able to get it done right in his hometown at Intermountain Health Holy Rosary Hospital.
His doctor, Dr. Creighton Fiscina, used a special high-tech robot to perform the surgery. The doctor controls the robot from a computer station, which allows for tiny cuts, less pain, and a much faster recovery. Thanks to this amazing technology, Emmett healed so quickly that he went back to the hospital just a few weeks later. He didn't go back for a doctor's appointment, though—he went back to give the nurses and doctors a beautiful bouquet of flowers to say thank you!
